My work has evolved over the years from tightly executed still lifes of fruits and vegetables to the large organic abstracts I am painting now. While doing an extended series of landscapes during and after my divorce, I realized these images were a metaphor for the issues in my life.

Picasso said, "Painting is just another way of keeping a diary." and it took me years to realize I was doing exactly that with my artwork. From domestic still lifes to landscapes to large abstracts; my images reflect the move I've made to the open and expansive mental state I now enjoy. Creating art, teaching art and guiding others through the art therapy process helps me and those I work with grow mentally and spiritually.
